Real. Raw. & Rising — stories from the heart of motherhood.

🪶 Welcome to Raw Mothering

Hey mamas! My name is Grace Harbor, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I created Raw Mothering as a safe space for all moms to be our true, raw selves. Because let’s face it — mommin’ ain’t easy. There are times of doubt, exhaustion, grief, pain, and depression — right alongside the laughter, the funny stories, the sweet moments, and the love that make it all worth it. I wanted a place where we could safely share it all, like our own little community of real, raw, unfiltered motherhood.

🌿 A Little About Me

I’m a 29-year-old single mom, raising my 2-year-old daughter. For her safety and privacy (and out of respect for her father’s privacy), I’ll never use real names here. I write under the pen name Grace Harbor so I can be open and authentic with you without crossing personal boundaries.

Motherhood for me has been beautiful — and brutal. I’ve faced those silent battles that so many of us fight: working full-time, co-parenting with a narcissist, trying to stay afloat while healing from pain and trauma. My journey has included everything from prenatal and postpartum depression to learning how to balance a career, social life, and motherhood with a wild little toddler in tow. I’ve been a single mother since my daughter was 8 months old, but even before that “official split,” I was doing it alone.

I plan to share the real stuff here — the messy middle, the heartbreaks, the growth, and all the ways I’ve learned (and am still learning) to move forward. Some stories will be hard, some funny, some beautiful — but all of them will be honest and raw.

What to Expect

You can expect stories about:
• The ups and downs of co-parenting (the good and the bad)
• Navigating mental health and self-healing
• Working mom life and burnout
• Moments of joy, laughter, and rediscovering yourself

I’ll always be real and authentic with you.

Eventually, I’d love Raw Mothering to grow into a community space where other moms share their stories too. But for now, it’s just me — writing from the heart, a few posts a week, hoping my words remind another mom out there that she’s not alone.

Welcome, mama. You belong here. 💕
